AGM Updates

The Vernon Building Society proudly celebrates 25 years supporting the Vernon Building Society (Poynton) Brass Band.

‘Poynton Brass Band’ was founded in the early 19th century when the band first started within the Poynton coal mining community supported by mine owners, the Vernon family. The band’s association with the Vernon name and our own strong presence in Poynton provided a natural bond and since 1988 the Vernon has helped safeguard the continued existence of the band by providing sponsorship and uniforms.

Band schedule

The Band’s busy schedule for the year includes Charity Concerts, March & Hymn Contests, Vice Presidents Concert plus many other throughout the North West of England. For further details of the Band's events or to order tickets, please contact Marilyn Tan on 0161 487 2924, or visit the Band's website.
