We have teamed up with mortgage club SimplyBiz to market its intermediary products. The partnership with SimplyBiz will be the first formal distribution agreement for us as we look to ‘significantly’ grow our intermediary mortgage business.

Tom Gurrie, our Intermediary Sales Manager, said: “We feel working with SimplyBiz will be an excellent opportunity to work with a club that has a real feel for putting regional societies together with their local brokers. We wanted to work with a distributor that understands the regional market and works closely with brokers in our area.”

Martin Reynolds, Chief Executive SimplyBiz Mortgages, said: “We are always working to offer our members new opportunities to help their clients.

“Being able to offer access to the Vernon Building Society will provide these new opportunities with a Society that is looking to grow and has criteria that will appeal.

“Working with regional building societies that offer the personal approach with individual underwriting capabilities offers members the alternatives that are needed in today’s market.

“We are delighted to be the first major distributor that the Vernon has looked to launch with.”
