Key Features

A fixed rate savings account, designed to suit a saver who is comfortable locking away their savings for a fixed term, in return for a fixed rate of interest.

  • The rate of interest is fixed until maturity.
  • No withdrawals are permitted and the bond may not be closed until the maturity date.

For your comfort and privacy we open new accounts away from our counter and whilst we endeavour to do this on a drop-in basis, sometimes it is not possible so we would always recommend that you make an appointment at your local branch to avoid disappointment.

You can also open an account by post via a branch. To open an account by post you must download and complete a Savings Account Application Form and send it to; Vernon Building Society, 19 St Petersgate, Stockport SK1 1HF along with a cheque for your initial investment.

Please refer to the 'How do I open and manage my account' on the Summary of Account section for important information before submitting an application.
