Will Writing

Preparing for the future

At Vernon Building Society, we want to help our Members plan and prepare for the future.

That's why we've partnered with Accord Legal Services, who are offering a free consulted standard will writing service to all Vernon Members.

By making a will you can

  • Protect your children's inheritance
  • Appoint guardians for young children
  • Protect vulnerable beneficiaries
  • Plan ahead to minimise care loss fees
  • State your funeral wishes
  • Exclude unwanted beneficiaries
  • Leave a gift to charity

Why do I need a will?

A Will is a legal document that outlines what you want to happen to your estate (property, money, possessions), as well as your dependent children, after you pass away.

Your Will also allows you to appoint guardians for young children, specify who you want to inherit from your estate (as well as those you wish to exclude), leave gifts for charities you support and appoint who you wish to execute your Will. A Will also enables you to mitigate loss to your estate from Inheritance Tax and care fees.

Our Estate Planning Partner, Accord Legal Services, offer a free, fully consulted, standard Will Writing Service for Vernon Members. They can even review an existing Will free of charge.

To arrange an appointment, drop into your local branch or call us on 0161 429 6262.

Have a say over who inherits from your estate - without a Will, the law decides.

It's important to be prepared - speak to us about your Will today and cross one more thing off your to-do list.
