We were awarded 'Best Savings Provider 2019' at the 2019 British Bank Awards hosted by Smart Money People in London.
The award is a reflection of the many reviews provided by you, our members, to the independent financial services review website.
Our Finance Director Judith Aspin and Marketing Manager Alex Deakin represented the Society at the awards and were ecstatic to bring home a big win.
Alex said: 'To receive this award is an honour and it rewards our Vernon employees for their commitment to providing the best service they can, reflecting the Society's continued ambition to be Stockport's first choice for mortgages and savings'.
Our CEO Steve Fletcher, who eagerly awaited the results of the British Bank Awards said: 'I'd asked Judith to text me from the awards ceremony as soon as the announcements were made. As a mutual building society, everything that we do is for our members so to see that they hold us in such high regard is very rewarding.'
