In celebration of The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, plenty of events are happening in our community.
We've put together a list of some events happening this Jubilee weekend:
Compstall Cricket Club, Marple Bridge
Friday 3rd June, 12:00 - 6:00pm
The Marple Bridge Association and Compstall Community Council are celebrating this weekend's festivities with live music from The John Cooper Band, Marple Brass Band and The Rock Choir. There will also be food and drink stalls and fun games for the whole family. Also, our very own Vernon Bear will be making an appearance at the event.
The Stockport Market, Stockport
Saturday 4th June, 10:00 - 4:30 pm
The Stockport Market is hosting their Jubilee celebrations this Saturday.
They're already known for their fantastic selection of food and drinks stalls, but there will also be arts and crafts activities for the whole family. There will also be classic cars in Castle Yard and local entertainment throughout the day.
Edgeley Jubilee Market, Castle Street, Stockport
Saturday 4th June, 11:00 - 3:00 pm
At Edgeley Jubilee Market, meet local, talented artisan makers and traders on the pedestrianised Castle Street for the Jubilee Weekend.
There will be lots to eat and drink, handmade gifts, crafts, homeware, garden inspiration and more, as well as activities for all the family.
Stockport Together Community Fun Day, Adswood Young People Centre
Saturday 4th June, 12:00 - 4:00 pm
Stockport Together is putting on an event with face painting, inflatables, arts and crafts and VR headsets. All of these activities will be free! Food will also be reasonably priced, so if you're looking to celebrate without breaking the bank, look no further.
Jubilee Weekend at Merseyway, Merseyway
On Thursday 2nd June 2022, from 11 am - 3 pm, they will be hosting a craft session where children can create their own wooden crown decoration. Keep an eye out for the guards because there will be roaming stilt walkers around the centre!
On Friday 3rd June 2022, from 11 am, there will be an exclusive Spin to Win, where shoppers can win a range of patriotic prizes.
